The Atlanta Falcons released their Week 5 injury report earlier today, announcing that guard Justin Blalock (back) and wide receiver Harry Douglas (foot) would be ruled out against this Sunday’s opponent, the New York Giants.

Blalock suffered his injury during the first half of the Falcons Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, while Douglas was injured in Week 3’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Neither player participated in this week’s practices. Blalock had not missed a single snap in six seasons until last Sunday’s back injury forced him out of the game. Douglas missed last week’s game.

Also listed on the team’s injury report were wide receivers Devin Hester (ankle) and Julio Jones (ankle), safety Kemal Ishmael (ankle) and linebacker Prince Shembo (knee). All four players were limited in Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, but fully participated on Friday.

For the Giants, wide receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), linebacker Jon Beason (foot/toe) and linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring) were listed as questionable. Punter Steve Weatherfood (left ankle) was listed as probable.
