NFL.com reports that Penn State offensive tackle Levi Brown began a series of visits that included the Falcons on April 16. Brown is widely considered one of the premier players in this draft, and most draft experts rank him as the second best offensive tackle prospect in the draft.
Brown (6’5″ 323) was a four-year starter at left tackle while at Penn State, although he did start one game as a sophomore at right tackle. He is noted for his size and strength after doing 31 bench reps of 225 pounds at the Combine and finished his career with 236 knockdowns and 38 touchdown-resulting blocks. He received All-Big 10 honors and All-American honors as a junior and senior.
Many mock drafts feel that Brown is a probable choice for the Falcons at the No. 8 spot. NFL.com’s Mike Mayock ranks him as the 21st on his list of the top prospects in this draft, while NFL Draft Countdown ranks him 15th.
