Bruggeman makes way for Babineaux

September 14th, 2010

Jay Adams of Atlanta Falcons.com reports that the Falcons have cut center/guard Rob Bruggeman in order to clear roster space for defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux. Babineaux is coming off a one-game suspension.

Bruggeman spent all of the 2009 season on the Falcons practice squad after being an undrafted rookie free agent out of Iowa signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He worked primarily as a reserve guard for the Falcons this preseason, and was active but did not play in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
