Coleman undergoes knee surgery

September 7th, 2007

Today defensive tackle Rod Coleman underwent a procedure to repair damage in his left knee. Coleman could miss up to four games. He is currently recovering from a torn quadriceps suffered this past April, and was not expected to play this upcoming weekend against the Vikings. This additional procedure is just a minor setback.

Jonathan Babineaux is slated to start instead of Coleman this week.

The Falcons also announced that quarterback Casey Bramlet was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad. Remi Ayodele was released in order to make room for him.
