Allen and I are joined this week by none other than former Atlanta Falcons center Todd McClure to discuss his experience at the 2015 NFL Draft. We also welcome Charles McDonald of Football Savages to the show to break down why the Falcons’ latest draft class is a great one. First Todd compares his time in Chicago with his own draft experience as a seventh-round pick. He also discusses zone-blocking versus power-blocking, whether Joe Hawley is “dirty,” Justin Blalock’s release, the recent decline of the Falcons and his thoughts on the team’s new head coach. Then Charles helps set reasonable expectations for Vic Beasley’s rookie season as well as discussing the rest of the Falcons 2015 draft class. Was Grady Jarrett the steal of the draft? Is Justin Hardy a potential starter at wide receiver? Does Tevin Coleman fit the Falcons offense? How much upside does Jalen Collins have? These questions and more are answered in our conversation with Charles. Then I go on a rant against top 10 wide receivers before Allen and I discuss Zac Stacy and how much the Carolina Panthers hate Cam Newton.
