Allen and I are back to do another commentary. Due to a snitch, YouTube removed the videos of past Atlanta Falcons games that we were talking over, forcing us to check out the library at DailyMotion. We found a condensed 30-minute version of the Falcons’ Week One game against the Kansas City Chiefs from back in 2012 to talk over this week. But before we get into our commentary, we opt to catch up on some of the Falcons news topics that we missed the past few weeks while doing commentary. We recap the two very different careers of both Justin Blalock and Sam Baker, with some Harvey Dahl, Tyson Clabo, Garrett Reynolds and Jeremy Trueblood all getting name-dropped in this episode as well. We re-assess the quality of the 2007 Falcons draft and how it stacks up against some recent ones. Ricardo Allen, Asante Samuel’s new business venture and the nature of bad contracts are also discussed. When we finally work our way to the Chiefs game we see several future Falcons donning red uniforms, anonymous replacement refs, Romeo Crennel’s challenges, and how Kevin Boss destroyed Allen’s love life are all topics we hit. There is some NSFW language at the very end of the podcast.
