Allen and I are back after a brief hiatus to do a preview of Super Bowl 50 with Carolina Panthers super fan Tadeus Muhammad. “T-Money” as he’s widely known as helps break down why his favorite team is the favorite to beat the Denver Broncos in this week’s Super Bowl.
But before we go there, we have to talk about the Atlanta Falcons. Allen and I kick things off with some discussion about the team’s recent coaching hires/changes of Raheem Morris and Jerome Henderson (starting at the 2:42 mark) as well as the team’s newest additions in the front office (starting around 7:38).
But the meat of this episode (starting at the 18:21 mark) is taken up by Allen and I breaking down our top 10 favorite Falcons players of all time, with both of us digging back to the earliest portions of our Falcons fan memories (1991 for me, 1998 for Allen) to recap which players have been and still are our favorites throughout the years.
Listen as Allen and I both rank Tony Gonzalez, Julio Jones, Jamal Anderson, Matt Ryan, Alge Crumpler, Jonathan Babineaux, Jessie Tuggle, Roddy White, Michael Vick, among many, many others on our individual lists.
“T-Money” joins us (at 1:21:49) to break down the Super Bowl matchup, giving his thoughts on why Ted Ginn has been so successful, how the Panthers running game is critical to their success, how much Peyton Manning has left in the tank, and whether the Broncos pass rush presents a significant challenge to an unheralded Panthers offensive line. Robert McClain’s most favorable matchup, Thomas Davis’ injury, Kawann Short and Cam Newton are other topics of discussion.
At the end of the show (2:08:45), listen as Allen tries his hand at draft analysis.
