I’ve collected and collated all the major headlines that emerged from teh second day of practices in the Atlanta Falcons’ 2015 training camp. You can check out all the news and headlines that came out of the first day of camp by clicking here.
Quinn’s Teaching
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn worked closely with the pass-rushers. Quinn made his bones in the NFL as a defensive line coach and has taken a hands on approach to helping improve the Falcons’ lackluster pass rush.
If there's one group @FalconsDQ works with the closest, it's the pass rushers. He works with them during individual sessions on his own.

Talk of Quinn being very hands on is so true. Actively engaged with the players. #Falcons

Quinn is an educator as much as a coach. Love hearing him talk about his practice design and philosophy behind it.

Jones and Trufant Go Head to Head
Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones had his ankle re-tape during practice yesterday but showed no worse for wear today. However cornerback Desmond Trufant got the better of him and Matt Ryan at one point.
Tru got in front of Julio for a pick.

If you have any lingering concerns about Julio getting his foot retaped yesterday, he's definitely fine.

Rookie Coleman Gets Promoted
Running back Tevin Coleman got first-team work today. He did split some reps there with Devonta Freeman, who got the bulk of the starters’ work on the first day of camp. After practice, Quinn told reporters that switching up reps and the depth chart this early in camp is a tool for evaluation rather than a true indicator of how players stand.
Looks like Tevin Coleman getting the first team reps today at RB

Freeman and Coleman are both getting first-team reps today

Veteran Asamoah Gets Demoted
Starter Jon Asamoah was relegated to the second team today at right guard, with Chris Chester getting starting reps there. Asamoah was nursing an injured left ankle throughout the offseason.
First line out there is Matthews, Person, Hawley, Asamoah, Schraeder

Asamoah with 2nd team today. Schraeder held out of 11 on 11 https://t.co/kNt1o8fQYm

Allen Settling In at Safety
Ricardo Allen is settling in at the starting free safety position.
Tru had high praise for Ricardo Allen, too, in terms of the way he's adapting to the position change and the work he puts in.
— Jeanna (@jeannathomas) August 1, 2015
Quinn also praising the work Ricardo is putting in, particularly developing the communication skills necessary.

The Atlanta Falcons announced the signing of offensive lineman Pierce Burton and released guard Harland Gunn to make room.
