Here are the collected and collated headlines from the fifth day of the Atlanta Falcons training camp on August 5.

Injury Update

The AJC gave an update on injuries as linebacker Brooks Reed (hip/groin), running back Tevin Coleman (hamstring strain) and defensive end Cliff Matthews (ankle) were held out of practice today. Guard Jon Asamoah (upset stomach) and tight end Beau Gardner (knee) did not finish practice.

Falcons Mixing and Matching O-Line

The Falcons had several injuries along the offensive line, resting Asamoah and Ryan Schraeder due to lingering issues from the hamstring strain he suffered earlier in camp. The Falcons plugged in Chris Chester at left guard, replacing Mike Person, who started to get more work at center today. James Stone was working at right guard, while Jake Rodgers started seeing more work at right tackle. Adam Replogle also got work at center today too.

Offense Struggles

It was a sloppy day of work for the offense, perhaps stemming from the lack of continuity along the offensive line.
