The Atlanta Falcons completed their ninth day of training camp practice earlier this afternoon, and here are the collected headlines that emerged from the day.
Jon Asamoah Demoted
The Falcons released their first unofficial depth chart earlier today, with the biggest surprise being that Jon Asamoah was listed as the second-string right guard behind Chris Chester. The Falcons coaching staff explained their reasoning a bit after today’s practice for why that is. It should also be noted that Asamoah has been limited at times in camp due to a stomach bug as well as earlier OTAs with an ankle injury.
Asamoah has been working with second team quite a bit. I don't know what thought process is here except team's serious about competition.
