The Falcons needed to trim their roster by three names to get down to Tuesday’s 75-man roster deadline, and announced those moves today following eleven moves yesterday. The three players waived today were all wideouts: Rashad Evans, Marcus Jackson, and Marcus Sales.
Evans and Sales were both undrafted free agent signings, with Evans signing at the end of April and Sales joining the Falcons in July. Jackson spent last year on the team’s practice squad after being an undrafted free agent out of Lamar. All three players had limited production in the preseason. Evans had a single catch for 6 yards, while being targeted 3 times over the course of the preseason. Jackson was held without a catch on 4 targets, while Sales was targeted once without a catch.
