The Falcons announced their preseason schedule today, featuring three of the usual foes in the four-game lineup.
They will kick off the preseason on Friday, August 12, playing a home game against the Miami Dolphins. That game will be aired on CBS at 7:30 pm. They will follow it up on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars, on a nationally broadcast game on CBS at 8 pm on August 19. Their third game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road has yet to be determined on a date and time, although it is likely to take place on August 27. The Falcons will close out their preseason against the Baltimore Ravens at home on September 1, with a time to be determined later.
The Falcons played both the Dolphins and Jaguars last preseason, with a victory and loss respectively. It will be the third time this past decade that the Dolphins and Falcons have squared off in the preseason. The Falcons and Jaguars are regular preseason opponents, facing each six times in the past decade. The 2010 summer was the first one since 2006 that the Falcons and Ravens have not played each other. Those two teams have met in six of the last eight preseasons. This will be the first time the Falcons have played the Steelers in the preseason since 2001.
