Falcons deal Robinson to Rams

The team announced today that they have traded wide receiver Laurent Robinson to the St. Louis Rams. Also part of the deal, the Falcons and Rams swapped fifth and sixth round picks.

Robinson was a third round pick by the Falcons in 2007. As a rookie, he started 6 games and caught 37 passes. But injuries and the changing offense cost Robinson last year. He only appeared in 6 games and caught 5 passes.

The Falcons will move up 22 spots in the fifth round, acquiring the 138th overall pick from the Rams. In the sixth round, they will move up 20 spots from 196th overall to 176th overall.
