Falcons eye LB Bentley

Adam Caplan of Scout.com reports that the Falcons are showing interest in Seattle Seahawks linebacker Kevin Bentley. According to Caplan’s report, Bentley is expected to visit the Houston Texans on Sunday, and is receiving interest from the Titans, Bengals, and Broncos as well as the Falcons.

Bentley has served as a reserve in Seattle the past three seasons, but has started 5 games as an injury replacement. He was once a starter in Cleveland in 2003, after being a 4th round pick by the Browns in 2002. For his career, he’s started 22 games, tallied up 279 tackles and an interception. With the Seahawks, he has recorded a total of 33 stops on special teams the past three years.

The Falcons are in need of depth at linebacker, since they released Marcus Wilkins, and starter Demorrio Williams is not expected to return due to free agency.
