Falcons make two cuts

August 6th, 2011

The team announced today that they have cut a pair of undrafted rookies in punter Jacob Harfman and offensive tackle Rob McGill.

Both players were signed last week by the team. Harfman was listed as the third string punter and kickoff specialist behind Matt Bosher and Ken Parrish. McGill was listed as the third string left tackle on the depth chart. Both players were longshots to make the roster.

NFL teams won’t be required to get down from 90 players to the 75-man limit until August 30. With the release of these two undrafted rookies, the Falcons roster drops to 88 players.
