The Atlanta Falcons announced that offensive tackle Lamar Holmes will begin training camp on the team’s active/Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list due to a broken foot he suffered last month. Earlier this week Holmes was identified among several other Falcons players that were still nusring injuries as the Falcons players reported to training camp today, with practices beginning tomorrow. Holmes reported to camp today wearing crutches. Holmes can be taken off the camp PUP once team doctors clear him medically to resume practice.
Holmes will still count towards the Falcons’ 90-man roster limit during camp. By going on the camp PUP list, Holmes may become eligible to be placed on the regular season version of the PUP list, the reserve/PUP list, later this summer.
