Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union reports that Jaguars offensive tackle Maurice Williams is in discussions with the Falcons, but other teams are also in the mix in pursuing his services.
Williams started 2 games at left tackle last season, as well as eight at right guard. Prior to that, he served as the Jaguars starting right tackle for six seasons. He played under current Falcons offensive line coach Paul Boudreau for three seasons (2003-05) as well as head coach Mike Smith. It’s likely that he’ll be a candidate to replace Wayne Gandy at left tackle.
