Falcons take a look at Miami’s Sharpton

Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Miami middle linebacker Darryl Sharpton had a personal workout with the Falcons last week.

Sharpton is an undersized middle linebacker in the same mold as current Falcons middle linebacker Curtis Lofton. He played outside linebacker as well at Miami during his junior and sophomore campaigns. As a senior he recorded 106 tackles and 8.5 for loss. He posted a 4.81 40 time and 26 bench reps at the Scouting Combine in February.
