Falcons worked out Vanderbilt tackle Johnson

Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports that the Atlanta Falcons worked out Vanderbilt offensive tackle Wesley Johnson on Tuesday. Johnson is considered a potential late-round prospect.

Johnson measured 6’5″, 297 pounds at the Scouting Combine in February, where he ran a 5.11-second 40-yard dash, did 26 bench reps of 225 pounds, and had a 29-inch vertical jump.

He started 51 games during his career at Vanderbilt, the most in school history. He was a three-year starter at left tackle, but also garnered starts at center (seven) and left guard (two) during his sophomore season. He earned first team All-SEC honors as a senior.
