Pittsburgh Senior

PROS: A smooth athlete with good size which he'll use to shield away defenders and make the catch in traffic. Shows some ability as a blocker downfield.
CONS: Has average hands and body catches too much. Needs to improve his concentration. Doesn't always attack the bal in the air and needs to time his jumps better. Lacks speed and explosiveness to get separation from defenders. Doesn't give great effort as a blocker and has a thin build.
OVERVIEW: Has good size to compete at the next level, but doesn't show much of anything else. Has made limited improvement over the course of his Pitt career. Had a very strong start, combining for 80 catches, 1156 yards, and 13 touchdowns in his first two seasons. But fell by the wayside the past two years, combining for just 42 catches, 525 yards and 2 scores. Has NFL bloodlines, his father Odessa played WR for Giants and 49ers (1987-93).
NFL FORECAST: Turner just didn't show much improvement as his Pitt career progressed, where he was the team's top playmaker at wide receiver as a freshman and sophomore, he essentially become their third or fourth best option by his senior year. You like his size, but he isn't a natural receiver, just more of a big guy. He's a good athlete, but lacks the speed and burst you want to see in a player with his athleticism. If he can impact on special teams, he has a chance of sticking in the pros, but he isn't much of an option on offense. He's not going to be a guy that can be anything more than a No. 5 wideout that can play gunner on punt coverage.
ATL FORECAST: He can come in and compete in Atlatna, but doesn't stand much of a chance to make the roster unless he is really impressive on special teams. Unless that happens, he's really nothing more than a camp body that might be able to impress a bit against some of the smaller Falcons defensive backs, but that's about it.
VALUE: He's not worth a draft pick, but a look in camp.
