Mularkey to be OC in Miami

Postby Pudge » Sun Jan 22, 2006 6:22 pm

Just letting you guys know, for those that were still holding out the hope he may come here even though it was never a consideration for Mora.

I suspect Greg Olson (Lions) and possibly Larry Beightol (Packers) will be added to replace Mike Johnson and Jags in the next week or so.

Isnt Mora friends with Olson? If he is, he will be hired. For some reason, Mora keeps hiring guys hes friends with or guys he knew when he was on the 49ers. Why does he do this? If he hasnt noticed, the 49ers suck.

Well he's hiring the ones that were there when we they were actually good, so I'm not that concerned. All coaches hire their friends. I mean look at the Raiders. The main reason why that is the lone unsettled job is because Al Davis doesn't allow his new coaches full control over their coaching staffs. Look at Fred Biletnikoff. Assuming he's retained in Oakland, this will be his 8th head coach he's served under, not counting his days as a player. Not to say that maybe Biletnikoff is not a good coach, and the fact that Norv Turner was able to hire 13 of the 18 head coaches that was on his staff this past year is not bad, but no one jumps at the chance to coach in Oakland when the owner has final say on all coaching staff hires.

Shhhh...thats sensitive to some people.

I pointed this out last year and almost EVERYONE jumped down my throat for this. This is almost on the border of nepotism, except these people arent related to Mora.
