Is the 95mil cap what it actually is or what you think it will be next year?

I'm guessing it is a projection. The cap isn't calculated until total revenues are figured as it based on the revenue stream. Do I have that one right Cappy?

Wow! I think half or more than half of the entire roster have contracts due to expire in 2006 or 2007. I'm guessing this is partly due to the CBA situation as well as a large amount of young players on the squad. But that seems like a very significant number too me.

Players with contracts beyond 2007
Vick, Dunn, Kerney, Hartwell, Brooking, Coleman, Crumpler, Forney, Webster, Hall, Reese, Mathis, Rossum, Babs, Omiyale, Savage.

Everyone else expires in 07, 06, or this year. Of the players signed beyond 07 it is possible that Dunn, Reese, Mathis, and Rossum will retire or be released prior to the end of their contracts.

I thought Kerney voided the ramaining years of his contract due to making the pro bowl or something. I thought he was a FA after this upcomming season?

I could be wrong.

I don't think anyone knows for sure if the contract did infact void. Pudge noted the majority of defensive down's clause which Kerney should have reached. Anywho, until there is something official I'm guessing for cap purposes it is being assumed his contract is not voided.

Someone mentioned this in another thread but that list doesnt include Roddy White. Is there a reason or was it just a mistake that he is not included?

Kerney's contract does void after 2006 but technically, he's signed through 2007.

As for Roddy White, I'm still trying to find out signing bonus right now. The Falcons have gotten VERY secretive on their contracts...

I will say that White signed a 5 year $7.3 million deal and that his base salaries are VERY low. I pretty much expect his deal to be somewhat similar to Jenkins but maybe a bit more. I should know something fairly soon I hope...
