So i read that the talks are over, and no agreement was made?

What exactly does this mean, and in you guy's opinions will this help or hurt us during this upcoming year?

I read that they pushed the deadline back to 10 PM tonight in hopes that the 4 hour extension will make something happen. Otherwise, they would have pushed it back even further.

it helps us.

the Falcons are VERY close to being where they need to be with Vick's restructure and Brady being released. when they rework Dunn, Brooking and possibly one other big deal they will have enough room to bring in 2 players in the defensive secondary. pair that with the defensive back they draft with their first rounder and the falcons will be where they need to be.

the team is solid offensively, on the dline and linebacking corps. they have one of the best (although he needs to see a sports psychologist IMO) return guy in the league.

on the flip side Carolina is weaker already. Tampa is going to take a huge hit tonight. New Orleans sucks.

once you make the playoffs it's a crapshoot. i think this helps us much more than hurts us.

From what someone said on ESPN, the owners wanted to push back the deadline until Wednesday, but the players only gave them until 10 p.m. I think we're going to have that mid 90's cap # and then very likely an uncapped year next year.

They actually postponed the start of free agency again until thursday at 12:01 am. The NFL has agreed to submit the latest proposal by the union to the owners for a majority vote on tuesday which includes players recieving 59.5 percent of all revenues and a "cash over cap" clause that puts a limit on how much money over the salary cap a team's payroll can actually be.
