It was interesting to hear Matt Williamson talk about the questionable identity of the Falcons offense based off their personnel, as well as how many of their key players were getting up in age. Two points I certainly agreed with.

I think as usual, they hyped up the Panthers a little too much. Routinely over the past 5 years, when QBs have strong rookie years they get a lot of hype going into Year 2, and almost always disappoint to some degree. We'll see if Cammy Cam Cam is the exception. I doubt it. Not to say Cam is gonna stink this year, but the idea that he's going to carry that team to the playoffs seems pretty far-fetched. That team has too many question marks on their front line, no reliable 3rd option after Smith & Olsen, have nothing at DT, and still have too many question marks in the secondary.

I think Cam would have to be great in order to get that team beyond 7 or 8 wins.
