some thoughts on the Peyton/Tebow trade

Postby fun gus » Mon Sep 17, 2012 8:39 am

..looking at it now, I'd have to say the Bronco's handled that whole thing brilliantly.

The '2 QB' system the Jets employed yesterday looked promising, but then stalled.

My only caveat is this only really works as long as Peyton stays uninjured... 8-)

The feeling that Peyton's 2012 season with the Broncos might not ultimately be much different than Favre's 2008 season with the Jets. Peyton's arm strength looked lacking at times vs. the Steelers. I'm just not sure it's going to be able to hold up to 16 weeks of punishment. I think Manning may not be the new Chad Pennington. I think it's possible that narrative will eventually play out this year. No one is paying attention to it yet because it's only Week 2, but by Week 8 or 10 it's going to be all what everybody is talking about...

Everyone may be talking about it but I doubt it will be a factor. People talk about MR's arm strength too but that doesn't have naything to do with anything....right?
