What are your plans for next Sunday sans Falcons football?

Watch the RGIII show against the Giants with my Giant friends. Watch the Tom Brady show against the Jets with my Jet friends. New York where the teams are inconsistent and not better than my Falcons.

My boss was gracious enough to assure that the Falcon's scheduled bye conincided with our quarterly weekend maintenance work when I'm at our data center all weekend.

So, this is day 1 of 12 for the work week.

I might be doing this as well. We're thinking about hitting Ellijay for the apple festival one day, and Helen on the other day. We'll likely go up EARLY to try to get ahead of the crowds. Both events have been packed this year.

I'm less concerned about free than I am about having to wade through thousands of people. hehe. Crowds wear on me pretty badly. For instance, we went to the North Ga fair a couple of weeks ago, at 5:00 on a weekday to avoid having to deal with the crowd. It was wonderful!

This is also the reason that I hate the Ga Dome. It's not the dome itself that's the problem, it's the absolutely horrific city planning which put the dome in the middle of a convoluted area with bad access to the highway. Getting out of that area after a game is an adventure... An adventure in tolerance and patience. Not exactly the kind of adventure that I want to have after an emotional football game.

Same Sunday routine for me. Church. Football. Sleep. Work. In that order. There are some great games this weekend.

not that Im pushing it: but the Festhalle is usually pretty crowd-less early sunday afternoons. I always try to go early in the bye week..It's 'free', they usually have a couple bigscreens with the other sunday games, and it isn't 'nuts' like on friday and saturday. I get a stein and listen to the polkas and watch the sunday games and let the wife and kid to ramble down to the town and shop or playground.

I can only handle it for about 45min- hour and a half, then I have to bail. It's like reggae music, I can get into it for about an hour or so, then I punch out :angel:
