Well, the first real free agent signing of this past off-season has now been cut. Their getting Routt prompted them to let Brandon Carr walk. Routt got a 3-yr., $18 million deal, while Carr went to Dallas for 5 yrs, $50 million and $25M guaranteed.
I always thought Routt was overrated in Oakland, but still a capable starting cornerback. This year in KC, that apparently wasn't the case. And it appears that there was something about the Raiders scheme that made corners (*cough*Nnamdi*cough*) look better than they actually were.
