Percy Harvin could be on the trade block

Postby thescout » Mon Feb 11, 2013 1:08 pm

Sorry guys I would post the article but here in South America slow internet and don't have much time. Article on ESPN saying Harvin could be dealt and list different teams the Falcons included. ESPN writer thinks Harvin could be had for a 2nd rounder. Harvin was injured last year and can be a head case but he is one of the most explosive players in the game. He's due for a new contract and could the Falcs afford 3 receivers making a alot of money on one roster? He would certainly solve our punt return problems. Should the Falcons look into Harvin and would you give up a 2nd rounder?

I don't know if I'd give up a 2nd for him. His talent level is certainly there. He would finally give us a decent kick return game. (not that Rodgers is bad, but I don't think he's a top kick returner) I don't think that we need 3 top tier WRs. I certainly don't think that Percy Harvin would have been the difference in winning the SF game.

Percy owns a rather interesting NFL record... Longest non-scoring kickoff return: 104 (2011 vs Atlanta Falcons)

There's not a chance in hell the Falcons pick up Harvin.

They already have 1 high maintenance receiver in Roddy White. And yes I know by most standards, Roddy really isn't all that high maintenance. But by the Falcons standards, he is.

Dont think it will happen, but if it does that would be something to watch. Ryan would probably throw for 5000 yards and 40+ TDs. He would also solve some of our RB woes as he would probably come here and be our best option at RB also. I can dream cant I? :drugged:
