My recollection is that Chuck helped Anderson prior to the 2010 season, which was his best year.
It was his best year and it was so good that he got cut after that season.
Yet he still manages to stick in the league as he's currently with the Bengals. In 3 years with Falcons Mr. Anderson had 2.5 sacks and 11 QB Hits. Then worked with Chuck, and since has 5 sacks and 9 hits in 2.5 years. Essentially he's able to turn those hits into sacks, doubling the percentage of hits that turn into sacks. Biermann had 4 sacks and 12 hits last year. If he did the same thing it would translate into 8 sacks.
Nope. Chuck Smith couldn't make Biermann a 5 sack player, let alone a 10. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/i ... l-anderson
so let me get this straight. In 2008, JA got 2 sacks. In 2009, he got half a sack..then he went to the amazing Chuck Smith's school of sackery~ and what was the result?
In his 'best year' he got 2 sacks in 2010!
Then when he went to the Colts for that lost season in 2011, Chuck Smith's tutelage helped JA get a massive 3 sacks. And that was primarily not because of CS
, but because he got to work with Mike Murphy, who had been the LB coach....for a dominant team for over a decade. And you would think that Chucky's help would have at least kept him at the 2-3 sack level, but last season he recorded...wait for it...zero sacks.
Not buying it. He has a better chance of Christopher Reeves getting 10 sacks then Biermann.
