Not able to watch tonight but just saw we took another CB. What do we know about him and why another corner? I know some DE guys we wanted were gone but this also must mean he coaches have confidence in Massaquoi and Mathews. What do you think?

So, anybody know much about this guy? Kinda surprised we went db again, was figuring we would draft a lb or de. I guess we are going with what we have at de. Not sure about this pick. I guess we do need corners, hopefully this one pans out.

Lindy's has him in this range.

+s: physique, disciplined, fearless, return skills
-s: level of competition (FCS), injury history, physical style of play

Quotable: "He can cover, he's got skills. Anybody can see the guy is a darn good football player. He can run, cover and tackle. That's why I have him in my Top 100." -- Gil Brandt, NFL.com

Dimitroff is Playing DB russian roulette. Eventually, one will be a winner. He's missed on so many in the past, I guess he figures that if he uses all of our picks on DB's, he'll get a decent one somewhere.

Asante is probably gone next year and Alford can return punts, if nothing else. I like the pick, but am concerned about the our lack of LBs. I think we may still bring back Abe after Ryan resigns, but I'm not sure how we will improve the LB corps outside of the draft and minus a 3rd rounder.

I can understand why we drafted Alford but dang another year without using our 1st or 2nd pick on a lineman.

The more I think about it the more I think we have our future at CB. Once Samuel leaves we will have Trufant, Alford, and McClain. Our safety's are pretty set moving forward so I think next year we will have money to spend and you'll see upgrades at LB and DE. I think with our remaining picks this year we go LB, OT, DE, WR, DT. something like that.

Alford's brother is Fred Booker who played in the NFL. Two guys drafted with NFL pedigree. I like it.

Well our secondary is now deep, but yet we suck at DE and LB still. Oh well, at least both guys look good on paper, could be worse (Dallas, Jets, Bills)

that's what happens when your 'star' elite CB sits himself in a playoff game. :ninja:

Im rather surprised we didn't go DE, but I'm fine with this move. Maybe they can bring back Abe on the cheap, and find another DE later in the draft, and we would be okay, I think?

I wonder if Cornelius Washington or William Gholston will be available when we pick? Grabbing one of those guys would make me feel pretty damn good about this draft....

Can't help but keep up a completely wild ass speculation based upon something you drag from deep in your transverse colon, can you?
