DE depth

So we add Goodman and Maponga to go along with Mathews, Massaquoi, Osi, and Beirman. Wonder if one of them could move to LB?

Beirmann is your best bet, and it's a bad one. Neither of the guys today are 4-3 olbs. DLE and DRE/3-4 rush specialist.

More Russian roulette. Can't find a DE that they like, so they draft a few of them and hope that one works. Wasted draft picks.

Seriously, TD is completely blowing this draft. The man learned NOTHING while he was with the Pats. Hopefully Blank realizes this soon. Matt Ryan will only be in his prime once.

Next year the Falcons can give the Raiders 3 future 1st round picks to get Jadaveon Clowney, and then maybe people will finally shut up about the situation at DE.

forgive me, but I cant tell if your joking or not... :ninja:

If your just being facetious, then I get it. But, if your being sincere, I dont 'get it'.

in that situation, wouldn't we also be 'hoping' Osi wont be in decline next year? What use is it getting Clowney next year if he is going to be the only impact DE we have?

they way I see it is this, either we :

A- stand pat with what we have. Trust that this year Osi can still bring it, and Biermann or one of the 4 other DE's step up and start making plays from the other side so Osi doesn't get the 'Abraham' doubleteam treatment.

or :

B- we wait a little while longer while guys like Abe and Freeney are out there thinking they are going to get paid. Wait them out until they agree to our price, restructure Ryan's contract to free up a little more $$, snag one of those guys and hope for the best.

I trust in TD to some extent, but option B seems to be a little more sound. Your milage may vary :hihi:
