Okay... I love that this guy got his life back and a shot at the NFL. But, being an Atlanta fan from across the country the only Falcon news I get is Brian Banks.

You would think the guy is Jesus incarnate teaching the good word to his fellow teammates and changing the team culture.

No, we can't give you any real news about the Falcons nationally unless you want to go dig through the AJC or other sources (thank God for FalcFans) because all we really care about is the warm fuzzies that Brian Banks gives us.

I wish the guy the best but if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't know anything about the Falcons in general because 75% of the news out of Falcons camp is about Brian Banks.

The Falcons seem to have one of these every year. A few years ago, it was a Japanese return guy. Kerry Meier was a pretty interesting story as well. Banks, however, seems to have a decent bit of raw talent. The problem is, it's really raw. What he needs is some time to develop. It will be interesting to see if he lands on the practice squad. I don't see any way that he makes the roster.

Noriaki Kinoshita?

Still a sore subject for me. Don't know why Dimitroff cut him. Guy was balls out on special teams.

Thanks dirty.

None of those guys got the media attention Banks is getting. I think it's a great story but more news about the Falcons as a whole would be awesome from the various sports media outlets.

Noriaki Kinoshita was the shiznit.

Face it, the Falcons are a boring team. They don't have a key fantasy player (i.e. Harvin/Crabtree/Gronk) that is injured, they didn't make a head-scratching move in the off-season that is drawing eyes to camp (i.e. Tebow), they don't have a holdout or other major off-field issue (i.e. Hernandez), and nobody really questions if they are "for real" or not.

The only move that resonates is Brian Banks, because he's a great story. And I suspect dirty you didn't hear the Rich Eisen podcast with Banks. If so, I don't think you would be as frustrated as you are that it is all we're hearing about.

Call me crazy, but he is a dead-lock to be on the P.S. NO way the Falcons cut him in the cut down...My guess? Unless we see something a little morefrom him in the next couple games, I predict he will get stashed on the PS, and then cut later or someone else picks him up on waivers...

Who wouldn't pull for this guy? I hope he gets a little more playing time in..

I mostly stick to technology related podcasts to keep up to date on news in my field. Not enough time to digest sports related podcasts too.

I'll go dig that one up though.

It was only one preseason game, but like I said earlier, he has a nose for the ball. He is VERY raw, but with a full year of working out with the team, he might be able to be a serviceable backup/special teams ace.
