I was reading an article by Jack Bechta over at the NFP, which got me thinking about streaming. Right now, my choices to watch the Falcons are to go to a bar or pony up for Directv. I have had Dtv in the past and thought it was good, but I am not sure I want to go that route again.

I don't watch baseball, so I have little knowledge of their streaming service. It does look interesting though. I wonder if something like MLBs service could be used by the NFL.

So, if there was a streaming service to watch the Falcons, then how much would you pay? If it was a good feed, then I think I would go as high as a $100.

I am paying a friend the amount to add ST Max to his ST. I'll watch the max, he'll watch the ST. So, $100.

I offered DTV the price for Max versus paying them nothing, and they turned me down.

Yeah a $100 sounds about right for the whole season. It would be nice not to have to either go out every Sunday or find some free one on the internet that lags, pix elates or is 5 minutes behind real time.

I think the NBA and MLB models are perfect for streaming games.

That being said I'd pay about $10 to $15 per game for 1 specific team which works out $160-$240 per season which is about what NFL League Pass is today (granted you get all the games). Of course, national games you wouldn't need to pay for So that probably saves about $30-$45 a season off that price and sometimes the Falcons actually make the national regular Sunday morning broadcast on the west coast.

Ideally no more than $100-$150 per year. I would like the opportunity to save some cash and just be live streaming for the Falcons and no other teams because I could give a s*** about the rest of the NFL.

How much would I be willing to pay? Probably up to $200/yr. How much would I be willing to pay before I start to grumble about the high price? Probably $100/yr.

I fork up $90/yr. just for NFL Game Rewind and Preseason Live already.

I think I could swallow 100/year, more than that and it's way to pricey.

Interesting, so it looks like $100 is kind of a magic number. I wonder if the NFL could compensate DTV for lost revenue by going this route. There would still be a lot of people buying the ST, but this would get all of the cable and OTA fans as well.

Looking at the numbers, if 2 million people subscribed at $100 a pop, then that is roughly $200 million in new revenue. That is a lot of money to be missing out on.
