The Raiders picked up Ed Jasper. Jasper was always a good player for this team, but it was definitely time for the Falcons to move on. He was a guy that never stayed healthy for an entire season, and when he indicated he planned on retiring this past off-season, reversed himself in early March, basically screwing over the Falcons. But it was time the Falcons looked at Lavalais, since one of main reasons they drafted Lavalais was to replace Jasper. That replacement just came sooner rather than later. The Raiders got themselves a good player, but I'm not too disappointed that Jasper is gone.
