I've always found that early estimates are usually underestimates. When they say a player will be out 6-8 weeks, I always make it 8-10. Four to six, is usually 6-8 in my mind. I usually tack on 2 more weeks as the proper prognosis. Of course, I have no inside info, but it just usually is the trend that when an important player (i.e. a starter) goes down, it seems that teams have a habit of underplaying the severity of their injury. 6-10 weeks alone is a wide range in itself, which leads me to believe even more than that the actual recovery time will be much closer to 12 than it is 6.

As always is the case, we have a hole at DE for the third straight summer. We really have lacked quality depth at that position since Pellom McDaniels retired. I know the team's hope was to have Chauncey Davis fill in as the #3 this year, but now he and Vaughn are going to have to compete for the open job, which is a daunting task for players of their caliber.

Boulware is still available, and now the Falcons should definitely look at him among other pass rushers to help fill the void.
