Rex Grossman out 3-4 months would you offer Schaub?

It must be tough being a Bears fan seeing your starting QB go out for a second straight season.Grossman is lost for 3-4 months so my question is if the Bears who are in desperate shape offer a no1 pick would you do the deal and trade Schaub? I think most probably would but here is my other question what would you accept from the bears for schaub? Also consider that if vick goes down we have only detmer and maybe randle!

Yeah, only Jeff Garcia or Joey Harrington would be a better option as a #2 besides Schaub. If the Bears offered a 1st round pick, it would be hard to pass up since it's highly doubtful that we would ever get another offer as high for Schaub, but of course the Bears would never make such an offer.

I agree. We should have a much stronger backup candidate in place besides Ty Detmer before we start looking to deal Matt Schaub.

I'd have to agree with the comments already made. Above and beyond that the Bears would be nuts to offer a 1st round pick for a temporary starter although Schuab will make a fantasic backup in this league.

If Schuab performs well in any PT he gets for the remainder of his contract we could get value out of him in the free agent market. He will be restricted and the Falcons could tender him high.
