Geez, that was quick. The Colts are the team I think are going to win the Super Bowl this year ... and this could be the key.

Yeah, that was a very smart move for the Colts, assuming Simon is in good playing shape. No way, we would have been able to give up the $$$ the Colts did:

The big key is that it will cover there weaknesses in the secondary, No one will be able to double block all their D line meaning more TEs and RBs blocking, less people in the pattern. Etc. Feerless prediction though, Pats will still rack up the passing yards but won't dominate them in the running game.

The Colts secondary should be a lot better this year. With Simon they may even be able to field a remotely respectable defense.

If he can hold up against the run that is. Freeney will definitely benefit from this pickup, or Simon will benefit from having a top flight rusher on the end. Either way, I don't see too many offenses hanging out in the pocket for 5 seconds every play.
