Well he's not really a tight end, but a power forward: Chevy Troutman. He stands about 6-7/255 and is a tough as nails interior player. This is something that was a topic of discussion on Pitt's campus a few months ago.
It seems that many NFL teams are looking at Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates and drooling over basketball players. O.J. Santiago was a basketball player, but never relaly developed into a top tight end. I see Troutman at best being like Santiago, although I don't think Troutman is a superb athlete relatively to those guys. He's not very fluid when moving on the court.
But he if Troutman is not drafted and doesn't get many sniffs from NBA scouts this summer, the Falcons by all means should bring him into training camp. After all, it wouldn't hurt at all.
