A great draft site and info how teams are built Draftmetrics

Below is probably the best site I have found studying the NFL draft. It's really the motherload of info if you want more knowledge about the draft and the studies that are given .Scroll down to Tony Villiotii the man who researched this info. This site is part of Ourlad's guide draft site in case anyone wants to know where it came from. Since the Falcon's need playmakers look at the study under pro bowl and all pro players under exceelent performers study!

Interesting to see their relative value of certain picks info. Having a Top 15 pick seems most advantageous according to their data, but a bit surprised that there isn't a ton of difference between having a pick in the latter half of the 1st vs. the top half of the second. But it does seem to indicate that there is quite a bit of dropoff after you get out of the Top 50.

Seems to confirm some notions I had before.

The last few yrs there have been studies out on the draft but still a team must do well in the 1st 2 rounds especially top 50. I'm still trying to take in all the data with these studies. I figured someone must have something with as many draftniks as there are and this is it. Tom Visotti did an outstanding job with all the research.

The thing about these numbers are its an average and we always as fans think our GM will be the one to find the golden nugget but we know through studies like this the law of averages usually wins out.I liked the all pro vs pro bowl selections and if your in the top of the 1st round (value 1-13 I believe group) you have a much bigger advantage at getting pro bowlers than group 2.
