I wonder what the specific motivation to pulling him out of the colllege ranks was? I guess TD knew of him from his time with the Browns?

This is a strange one... He wasn't a bad college HC. I'm kind of surprised that someone hasn't picked him up for another college gig.

Yeah, Hill was a very good college coach. Especially for mid-major schools. Won't be surprised if teams come calling for him next year. He has been on the radar as the head coach of the Raiders for the past several go-arounds there with Al Davis before he passed.

Good hire. A guy that probably would have spent a long time as an assistant coach in the NFL had he not gotten the opportunity to coach at Fresno State, and ran away with it.
