Which would you want the Falcons to go after in 2013 free agency? We need help at running back, def tackle, linebacker, off line, def end, tight end (if gonzo retires). Be realistic in picking your players. You know certain players will be resigned by their teams like Ulracher of the Bears.Jake Long or Clady no way they leave their teams either.

I'd love to take a shot at Glenn Dorsey of KC. He just didn't fit in the scheme and I feel could blossum as a Falcon. Mendenhall of the Steelers probably to much of an injury risk.Freeney, don't see TD opening up the bank vault when Ryan's contract is due plus Osi wants a big payday and both players have some age. It would be nice to see some of these top players taking less to play for a winner but that hasn't been the Falcon's history. We usually have to over pay . Now that hopefully we can be one of the elite teams (will see what happens in the playoffs) maybe things change in getting quality free agents.

I don't think that the Falcons should get very involved in free agency in 2013. I think that we need to continue to build through the draft, and fill holes with lower cost free agents after the draft. Stick to that formula from here on out. I really don't see anyone out there that would be available, or that would be worth signing to a big contract.

We have our core... Going forward, this team is going to ride on the wings of Ryan, Rodgers, White, and Jones on offense, and Biermann, Spoon, Nicholas, and Moore on defense. We need to build around that core.

Most important needs going forward will be TE, OL, DT, and RB. DE is important as well, but I believe that Nolan is going to be more focused on shoring up our run defense, perhaps even going after a legit NT for a 3-4 package. We are starting to see the team use more 3-4 looks.

I don't think TD drafts well enough to just rely on the draft to build this team to be Super Bowl contenders for awhile. I think we need to sprinkle in some quality vets and from time to time sign a big name. The good thing about teams who consistently win is free agents want to play for you more and sometimes will take a lesser dollar amount.

It would be nice to just rely on the draft but even the better teams in the league sign free agents whether for depth or to get a blue chip player to put them over the top. I think Dorsey has been in the wrong system since he entered the league. Atlanta really liked him coming into the draft but took Ryan. My hope is we can add a vet off lineman and a linebacker.Def end we should rely on the draft and tight end. Running back I could go either way free agent/draft. Def tackle I think we need another quality one however as you said Robert a big nose tackle who can play 3-4 could be the way our defense is headed.

Nope, not allowed. We need to discuss now since you never know if we are given tomorrow.

Jake Long do you think Miami lets him go? Stranger things have happened but I doubt a young top tier left tackle will be let go. Randy Starks would be a good addition for def tackle and Daryl Smith would help out the linebacker core.

I'd like to see us go after one of the Ga boys. Home grown monster NTs. Jenkins will likely be a top 20 pick, assuming he declares. We could use a later pick on Geathers. I kind of think that he'd be more bang for the buck, allowing us to go after RB, TE, OT, or DE in the first few rounds.

I digress... Wrong topic.

I think the only areas worth going for a top player are TE (if TG leaves) and OG (if no one proves to be the guy).

Otherwise, we could use several midtier guys (RB, 3rd/4th WR, LB, DT, etc.)

I'd focus OG first, TE 2nd, and just get values at the other positions.

I cannot see how anyone will prove to be the guy if next-year's starting center is going to be playing RG all year. This is an open position for next year and really needs to be filled. Vet vs rookie? I think that depends on how much of a leader Konz is on the line.

Long should get a max deal. How many young talented left tackles do teams let get away? I can't think of any unless their injury prone.
