Did the secondary step up tonight or what? Who is this Christopher Owens guy? He looked nothing like that #21 Toast guy that we normally have on the roster.

And holy crap, McClane... We're so thin in the secondary... What? Really? We don't seem to be that thin at all.

Mike Nolan gets a big sloppy one from me. The whole defense gets game balls. My goodness, we held the Saints to 13. Frickin 13. Who does that?

How bout the pass rush? They had hands in Brees face all night long, and the monster sack by Abe.

This one goes to the D, no questions.

William Moore's best game as a professional. He and Dunta absolutely pasted guys all night, and that last pick . . .

Great performance by the D. Unlike Manning's game in Week 2, nothing flukey about this one. The defense earned those turnovers. Pressured Brees, made plays on some poor passes by Brees. Made plays when it mattered.

They are ready for the playoffs...

I'm giving the MVP to Nolan because that dude has willed this defense to play so far over its head. Especially when you consider how banged up the secondary is.

You know it's a strange day in Mudville when you see Chris Owens making not one, not two, but at least three good plays in the game, and at least one of them in single coverage...
