I'm only 33 so I can only look back to the mid 90's objectionably, but I'll agree that he's number 1, a free agent move the paid off big time. He will be missed in my house.

My own eyes tell me that he was better than Chuck Smith and Patrick Kerney. Maybe when Chuck was at his best, he was on par with Abe. But Chuck didn't have quite the consistency and longevity that Abe, and I don' think was ever feared like Abe was in and around 2008.

It was gonna happen at some point, just was hoping that maybe that was a year or two down the road when it would happen. I'm all about getting rid of guys before they turn bad, but Abe was one of those guys that I'm willing to ride with until after the wheels come off.

I can't say that I'm happy to see Abe go, but I believe that the timing is right. And yes, he was the best DE that I've ever seen play for the Falcons. And who knows, he might be back pretty soon.

It was really Claude Humphrey, no contest, they didn't keep stats back then, I think he played the first 9 years before moving on in the first kind of free agency.

Abe was a very good player; and he made plays, nothing but good thoughts!!

The thing about Abe is that he produced on a consistent basis and he wanted to retire a Falcon. I really hate that he is gone but I if you want to be the New England of the South you have to make these kind of moves.

Here is an interview with Abraham. Nothing but class and love for Atlanta. I'm going to have my fingers crossed he could come back. Hopefully teams don't invest in the "old man".

I thought it was Aundray Bruce.

Not sure if Abe is the best, but he is top two.
