Pretty f'n lame that someone didn't update their team at all this week and that it could effect the playoffs. Everyone gets one pass, second time you are done. Can't believe I have to even write this

Guess you'll have to wait til next year

The finals are set, it's going to be a good match up between the Heifers and the Neptunes. Ironically it's a Falcons fan vs a Redskins fan going at it for the title, at the same time as our horrible teams meet in real life.

Can we please make the playoffs for six teams? It’s dull to see only four teams make it in a 12 team league. Can’t believe that we are still only doing only four teams.

Typical young'un, everybody gets a trophy. Do you want a 2 game regular season? Playoffs need to be 2 games per round. Single game playoff leagues blow monkey chunks. Draft better and pick up good free agents and you'll make the playoffs.

BTW Manning may be available for trade next year.....

Haha well played. I do like the challenge, just never seen a 12 team league feature only 4 playoff teams. I’m happy to say that my team finished at 500 once again!! Two years in a row, that 2016 championship is coming. The rebuilding stage is almost over.

So 2 out of the last 3 years we've had a non Falc Fan win the title :x
This year it was the Neptunes; which are run by a Redskins fan that was a friend of Bird Brain.

There's only 3 non Falcon fans out of 12 in the league, yet they keep winning! We need to step up our game........

My personal opinion is that 6 teams in the playoffs cheapens the regular season. If anyone else is in favor of this, write it here and we will do a poll for next year. By the way my team is gonna be sick next year!!!!

What are people's thoughts on expanding the league to 14 teams? I know in the past we've struggled to fill 12 slots, but just curious where people are at on this.

Been mulling starting a 2nd league for the more transient participants.

my team has sucked since stupid Westbrook took a knee at the goalline, and i can't seem to get past the hurdle. if it means we re-draft from scratch, i'm definately in!

I for one, am not to keen on changing anything, for a free league I think we have a good thing going. At the same time if there are multiple people that agree on making a change, I'd be happy to put it to a vote.

to clarify, i am in regardless, but would really like a re-draft. i have missed the last couple drafts because i was unavailable on the draft days, and i have essentially had the same team the past few years.

i will say that injuries haven't helped, but i feel like i can't get over having to nab people off the waiver wire week in and week out just to fill slots. the way it is now, i cannot afford to let decent talent go to pick in the 1st round, because most of the leftovers aren't at the level of what i have. doing so would only make the better teams stronger.

usually, at least in keeper leagues i have played in previously, you cannot keep the same players more than 2-3 years, as the previous years picks move up a round. so, 2nd round picks from previous years become 1st rounders, 3rd rounders from before become 2nd, etc. that way every year you have a chance at getting a fresh(er) team, and there is some parity. that way star players are devied up, but you are rewarded for recognizing good future talent...plus you have to choose if the 2nd round guy from last year is worth a 1st round pick now, and so on.

just a suggestion...

oh, and i would like the draft to be the reverse of the standings. there is no reason i should go 5-7, place 10th out of 12, and have the last pick in the draft.

This is why I'm thinking about starting a 2nd league, that won't be a keeper league and pretty much anybody can join. That way if you're struggling in the keeper league, you can start a team in this other one.

I set up the league and sent the following email to everyone today.

Hello, the league has been set up for this upcoming year. Please email me back if you plan on playing. Keepers must be selected by August 1st. Draft is a random snake set 1 hour prior too. Draft is schedule on Tues August 19th at 7pm. I have changed the draft to 90 seconds per pick. As always it's more fun if everyone is there, I believe two years in a row we've had 11 out of 12.

Hope to hear from all of you soon, as to whether you are in or not, thanks.

90 Seconds? Man, 60 seconds tops. It really should be 30 seconds. People need to come prepared for the draft. You should have an idea of who you want for the 1st pick and then if you have to wait a full round between picks, that's literally 6 minutes of time to figure things out: plenty of time.

If I recall last year, we finished in under an hour, just because you can take 90 seconds doesn't mean you always should, just means you have the option. It's nice to have the extra few seconds if you have to go back to back. Everyone else feel free to chime in, if most people want 60 seconds, I'd be fine changing it.
