Josh Gordon's offseason plans

As good as Josh Gordon turned out to be this season -- leading the NFL with 1,646 yards, despite taking part in only 14 games -- he is only 22 and has room for improvement. He is expected to get some assistance during the offseason by joining legendary players like Michael Irvin, Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders at Larry Fitzgerald's annual pre-camp all-star training session in Minnesota.
"I'm definitely going to make the trip," said Gordon. "I talked to Larry and he personally invited me out. Michael invited me, Jerry invited me, so I've got to go. It's going to be fun. It will be in the summer time and help get ready for training camp and hopefully tear it up this season."
It's scary to imagine what Gordon might bring to the field with an even better understanding of the game and how to play his position. Of course, there are other factors that will be involved in his upside for 2014. One more faulty drug test could put him out of the NFL for a year. Plus, he's going to have to get used to a new coach and offensive coordinator. Furthermore, he may have a rookie quarterback slinging the rock to him.
In the end, though, most of the risk for Gordon falls on his off-the-field behavior. If he can stay out of trouble in that avenue, he's going to make the Cleveland Browns and fantasy owners very happy with his on-field production in 2014.
