Jay Adams said on twitter that a big reason for it was that he wanted to spend more time with his family. Cant knock that as a reason to hang em up. With that being said, does RB move up on the list of off-season needs?

No. Its the same as it always was. If the next Ahmad Bradshaw is available this off season then the Falcons should pull the trigger. If not then RB is potentially our No 1 need next year.

Gotta give my props and thanks to Snelling. I never really understood why he wasn't given the opportunity to be, "the guy," but he always stepped up when we needed him to.

In this day and age of the NFL unless you have an Adrian Peterson or Frank Gore (young version) you just don't drop the money or picks on the position.

Atlanta could grab a RB in the 3rd-5th round of the draft to replacing Snelling or grab some retread off the free agent market for cents on the dollar.

If Atlanta could get a good power-back to pair up with Quizz we'd have a decent dual threat from the backfield if you use Quizz like New Orleans uses Sproles. Hopefully S-Jax has a rebound year but losing Snelling doesn't impact Atlanta that much IMO. He's a nice insurance policy but nothing more.

One might argue that losing Smelling is like losing a starter since he's arguably just as capable of being the No. 1 tailback as the current No.1 tailback.

Better receiver, cheaper, more versatile, "sneakier", i.e., how many times did Jason take that little shuttle pass and score or pick up a good gain? Played the entire playoff game versus the Giants with a broken jaw. Guys like JS are the true backbone of the league. I did kind of wince at his "weekend of reflection" but Jason came in and made it on his terms and left on them. Kind of a Brian Finneran kind of guy to me.
