The 49ers picked up Hall to play DE in their 3-4 scheme. A good pickup for them. Hall is one of those players that I was upset with when his play began to slip after 1998, but he always contributed over his final few years (although he was getting paid a ton to do it). I wish we could have kept him. Imagine him and Babs coming off the bench behind Lav and Coleman. The 49ers got a good player.
