Sit them both. I would like to see how this D looks with Reese starting and I would rather get Roddy to 100% than keep getting another 4.5 speed receiver.

I personally would like to see Finneran get starters minutes this year. The best combo we have right now is Dez, Finn, and Jenkins. Let Roddy go through the ST purgatory just like Jenkins did.

I disagree about Rowdy Roddy Dirty. He is something we haven't had at receiver in a long, long time.... a playmaker. That isn't my opinion, that is the words of Mike Vick and Jim Mora Jr. Both have been quoted as saying they need to get the ball into his hands every game.

The only thing holding Rowdy back is that high ankle sprain. It is a linguring injury that could possible bother (slow him down) all season.

There is no way I'd sit either. We're going to need both. Roddy will get his looks because at some point this year, Finneran is going to get injured. It's practically inevitable.

I would hold Roddy out until the Pats game & then showcase him in the game of the week for the entire world to see. A sprain is a bad thing to have because you really need to wait it out but it is possible to play on it, which never lets it heal. I would rather put Roddy out there after he is 100% against a team we may see in the Super Bowl than waste him against some scrub, barely hanging onto a playoff spot team like the Seahawks.

I've been saying it since late last year, but if it were up to me I would start Finneran and Jenkins...and I wouldn't pull Finn into the backfield to pickup a safety blitz...lol

I think Roddy needs to keep getting reps. He's not going to improve if he's wasting away on the sideline for the next few weeks. If he's probable for this week, that means he can play. IMO, probable means you play.

What is there to showcase? He just played in his 3rd career game, counting the preseason. He doesn't even have the equivalent of a full summer's worth f experience. THere's nothing to showcase. He doesn't know the offense, has worked very little with the first team and Vick. He needs all the reps he can get. If it means he only gets a series or two at the end of the 2nd quarter, then fine. But every play is valuable learning experience for a rookie WR.

Well, if his ankle isn't 100% and we keep putting him out there, we basically have another Peerless Price (slow WR) except he has no experience. I agree he needs reps and practice, but I was thinking we could use him as a healthy decoy against NE instead of letting them see him not do anything on game tapes for the next couple weeks. But hey, I'm not running the show and they agree with you obviously.

Hasselbeck has now officially been listed on the injury report; albeit as probable. He has been having issues with a sore arm.
