John Gruden got picked up for drunk driving, how friggin funny is that. Hopefully they will implode quite nicely by the time we play them.

Wow, that is too funny. Disclaimer: Drinking & driving is a serious matter & I am not overlloking this fact.

But that is damned funny. He is falling apart along with his team.

Actually it was Jay Gruden, John's brother. Here is an article from profootballtalk.com.

GRUDEN POPPED FOR DUI

In the same week that Buccaneers cornerback Torrie Cox was arrested for alleged DUI, Bucs offensive assistant Jay Gruden (the brother of head coach Jon Gruden) got busted operating a motor vehicle in excess of the legal limit for blood alcohol concentration.

According to the Tampa police department's web site, Gruden tested for a 0.106/0.110 percent blood alcohol concentration. The legal limit in Florida is 0.08 percent.

Gruden, 38, also is the head coach of the AFL's Orlando Predators.

He was arrested at 2:25 a.m., booked at 4:35 a.m., and released at 8:33 a.m. after posting a $500 bond.

It'll be interesting to see whether the arrest affects Gruden's status with the Bucs. Cox won't play on Sunday due to his arrest, which was the second time in nine months he has been nabbed on a DUI charge.

The arrest of Gruden was first reported by The Tampa Tribune.

Gruden

Postby MarylandFalcon1 » Sun Sep 18, 2005 10:40 am

I saw a coaches corner on NFL Network with Jon Gruden and his brother (Jay) was at the table. It was pretty funny because he was pretty much like "yes master, no master". Poor guy, I guess if I had Jon for a brother I might drink as well.

Yeah it's sad that type of person is what is rewarded in today's society while the good people of the world get fired by jackasses like him.
