Hartwell Done?

Postby dirtybirdnw » Sun Oct 09, 2005 3:28 pm

Just carted off the field... Looks like an ACL when he went down. Not sure though.

Hopefully it is just a strain or a pull.

Some good news... Hartwell is just questionable with a right foot injury. Doesn't sound like a season threatning injury.

They said it was his right foot too, so at worst he broke a bone in it & misses 4-6 games.

I think Hartwell tore his achilles. It also appears as though Chris Cash will be out for the season for us too. He really was a big time pickup for us.

Hope McKay and team can pull another couple rabbits out of a hat to replace Mathis/Cash at CB, and find us a backup MLB now that we probalby lost Hartwell and have already lost Beck for the season...

I remember Beasley playing well for us last year or the year before, maybe we should pick him up. Hartwell is officially a bust if he's done for the year.

Well according to Mora it would be a miracle if they aren't finished for the season:

"I haven't talked to anyone yet, but neither one of them looked very good. When they take them into the locker room right away, it doesn't look good. I would say they are both probably done unless we get divine intervention."

Yeah they took Kerney to the locker room right away didn't they? I know Cash's arm is broken as you could see it snap in the replay, I'm just hoping Hartwell can come back late in the year. If he doesn't I'm going to worry that our luck in Free Agency is terribly cursed.
